I'm Back!

I had always believed that my blog was only confined to a small world made up of my  closest friends with whom I had pushed forward my vanity and shared the ‘web address’ and that, except for those few dedicated audience, it was not accessed or read by any others.

I started this blog to give vent to my passion for writing and recording whatever I see or comes to my mind and follow this simple craze that I had nurtured since school days (through meticulously maintaining journals and diaries)… and so long as I am able to do that, I always feel a great sense of relief and mental satisfaction. This in itself was my purpose for starting this blog, nothing more, nothing less! The overriding thoughts in me then was that, if I am going to be able to put my thoughts in black and white, so be it! That is satisfaction enough for me because, these journals would be archived in the clouds and shall be available whenever I felt the need to flash back.
All through my academic life, I have grown up with the social scaffolding and inferiority complex and thus do not want to draw attention towards my intellectual competency, of which I had never been confident. Based on this principle, I did not feel the need to popularize my blog and draw traffic through pasting links in Facebook pages or any other social websites purely because, somewhere at the back of my mind, I always had (and still has) this nagging feeling that, in all it’s simplicity and naivety, my blog contains nothing to interest high-end readers nor does it affect or benefit anybody. So the bottom-line is that it is not worth popularizing nor is there a need to do so. If ever I were to place a link to my blog in the Facebook page even today, I would still feel nervous!
On the other hand, democracy has given voice to many of us, and thus, there are bloggers out there fervently discussing topics of controversial nature. These are interesting topics to discuss and people, however naïve they may be, would be interested to take a peek! But alas, this area is not my piece of cake! I keep myself at bay and refrain from discussing on ‘high-level’ issues concerning my work, politics, religion, society, law, etc and limit my topics to the simple, mundane and everyday affairs of a common man. In any case, I think that topics on politics, religion, society, law, etc are touchy subjects and people can be fanatic about it while discussions can get heated up and often become antagonistic as we can see in so many of our media, websites and few selected blogs.  Therefore, rather than risk the danger of any of my simple views on any particular topic of contentious nature to be translated or perceived as my stance on that particular issue, I prefer to limit my subject to myself and the small world around me. On the sideline, I feel that discussion on such contentious issues are best left to selected self-styled advocates of such national and international causes so that they can pass their time easily…and believe me, we do have so many of such people! My blog was intended for my own gratification and besides being read by few of my close friends, I meant to keep it that way, simple and confined!
However, during the brief break that I took from regularly updating my blog, I was pleasantly surprised to receive enquiries from so many people, even from those that I had least expected as to why I was not updating my blog as I used to do. This made me realize that the internet is a small world and people would find you even if you don’t announce your presence. I opened my blog last night after a long break and was overwhelmed with the statistics that it revealed. As of today there are over six thousand visitors from twenty eight countries all over the world! This is not bad taking into account that I activated my blog and started serious blogging only since six months back!
With this encouraging turn of events, I have now decided to leave some of my feigning concern for the everyday affairs, condescending tones for excuses and aggravated stubbornness towards duty and find my own sweet time during the weekends and keep posting something at regular intervals. It is upto my readers to judge whether my scribblings are logical, contemptuous or frivolous. But, as for my part, even if I cannot be regular, I shall atleast make an attempt to make my readers feel my presence here from now on. Please expect to find me with myself in this warm hospitable home of my blog henceforth! I'm back!!

  7. With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation?
My site has a lot of completely unique content I've either authored myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my authorization. Do you know any solutions to help prevent content from being stolen? I'd genuinely appreciate it.
