Pictures Speaks

True Friends
The words that are heard loud and clear between true friends’ hearts are "I'll be there... whether you need me or not." This small boy and a stray dog do not let status and parental background stand in their way of friendship. They are friends who communicates without a single word being uttered and who understands each other’s feelings without having to ask the other. You don’t have to go around the world looking for exemplary friends. True friendships are found in the ordinary world of innocence right before you in small packages.

Phangu (Pork Head)
I believe that food is definitely something that the whole world is interested in. What seems delicious to one may be revolting for the other. This picture of ‘Phangu’, a Bhutanese barbeque of whole pork-head boiled with all the ingredients and ready to be self-served by cutting slices off its cheeks and forehead is revolting for me. Although pork has always been my favorite, I cannot bring myself to savor the meat from a head that looks like it is smiling at me and conveying a silent message of revenge in the next life!

Height of confidence in the scare tactics
We Bhutanese have weakness for dried beef. Come winter, all houses would have sliced beef drying in the hot sun outside their homes. But crows have always proved to be a nuisance. These black feathered thieves would be waiting in ambush to seize an opportunity to fly away with a slice anytime that the owners are not around. Therefore, people have resorted to all tactics to scare the crows away. But I have serious doubts on the scare tactics deployed in this picture! Is it covered in the syllabus of the education system of crows to understand that the item placed near the meat is a catapult which could be used on them if they failed to behave themselves?

Learning to Type
Ok, I know this is the modern era of computers and all other fascinating gadgets that the ICT world has to offer. But my belief is that you cannot appreciate the joy of fiddling computers and gadgets without understanding the pains of the typewriter age. Children needs to be taught the essence and value of the origin first so that they can find real charm in the products later!

Self-explicit
Lastly, I leave my readers with a picture that is self-explicit. My readers are encouraged to draw their own conclusions. After-all, our mindsets are different because of genetical differences. Hence, theoretically, it is highly probable that we have different conclusions. No harm there!
