The 'Big' Monk

My last two posts in my blog were co-incidentally about children trying to fit into shoes that were too big for them! They caught my eyes and stirred the mischievous part of my nature to humouriously archive them in pictures and in words. These posts were not pre-planned... but came naturally as I went about minding my own business.

Today, as I browsed through the 6000 or so pictures that I have captured in my iPhone, I came across this one, where a baby in his weaning stage had already decided to join the holy life of celibacy… and become a baby monk!

The picture below is also of an innocent child who, by fate, had been destined to join monkhood. I learnt that  eversince he crossed the first year of his life, he would refuse to be dressed in any clothes other than the monk's robes! Otherwise, an uncontrollable child, surprisingly, he would remain calm and serene only when he was dressed in the monk's robes! Divine calling?

Perhaps we should have more of such children in our country… children, who are able to make up their mind on what they intend to do with their lives. This way, we shall have no more of such crimes as gang fights, rapes and drug abuse!

Kudos to the proud parents for producing such responsible children and the children themselves for choosing their own destiny!?
